Herbs for Pregnancy

In this class we will study herbs for the childbearing year, including safety concerns and herbs to avoid, traditional pregnancy tonics, herbs for specific pregnancy discomforts and disorders and a brief foray into traditional partus preparators (end of pregnancy tonics and labor promoters) Bring your mug— will have lots of nourishing tonic teas to sample!

This is one of my favorite classes to teach. It's great for pregnant women who would like to use herbs safely and effectively in their pregnancy. It is also perfect for herbal students and community practitioners of natural medicine and doulas who want to use herbs with pregnant, friends, family and clients but need more information. You will get detailed, practical information based not only from traditional herbal practice and contemporary research but from experience with clients.
